He Reigns!
For we walk by faith, not by sight. - 2 Corinthians 5:7

Oops! It's been a while. I guess that's what happens when I decide to start a blog two weeks before Christmas. Hopefully this year, I will be able to keep a more simple approach to Christmas and be able to both blog and prepare for the special day. ; )

I've been thinking a lot about the unsaved lately. Those who haven't yet, accepted Jesus as their Savior. I have found my heart very heavy at this prospect. It makes me so sad. So many people who are so determined NOT to believe. Life here on Earth is so short. Eternity is forever. I wish more people really thought about that. You are here on Earth for a very short time. You make choices. The result of those decisions will be with you for eternity.

How do you deal with it? I'm not sure who I am asking this question as only one person has this blog address so far, and I'm pretty sure she's probably given up on me by now. lol Seriously, how am I supposed to deal with this? I can't ignore it. Quite honestly, I'm surprised that I never really thought too much about it prior to now. However, at this point, I can't ignore it. As a matter of fact, I can't stop thinking about it. Not just my eternal resting place but everyone's.

I see people in the store and I wonder if they've accepted Jesus. I talk to someone on the phone and I wonder about them. I read messages, emails, etc. from people I know haven't accepted Christ and my heart aches. On and on it goes. And it's draining. It makes me so very sad. What am I supposed to do about it?

I know that the Bible instructs us to witness to others. We are to let everyone know about Jesus! I've been trying to do that at least to family and close friends. What about the others? How do we approach those we aren't as close to? What about those we don't know at all?

:: sigh ::

Then there's the whole, "pushing people away" thing to worry about. I don't want to get so overzealous that I end up doing the complete opposite of what I want to do. : /

Heavenly Father, please give me the courage to approach those whom may not be open to hearing your word. Please help me find the words to help them see the truth. Please give me the courage to do this even when it is difficult. I know that no matter how hard it is, I need to continue to try to help as many people as possible. Please be with me and guide me to do Your will.

In Jesus' name,
Amen.

I haven't given up on you entirely yet. LOL
There's definitely a fine line when it comes to evangelism. Some people shy away from it and use the excuse that they'll just witness by "example." (which is sometimes the right thing to do) and then some people go too far that they start following their own agenda instead of God's. I sincerely think if you pray about it and listen to God's response you can never go wrong. In the meantime you can learn as much as you can and practice boldness so when the time comes along that God asks you to step in, you'll be ready.
